Friday, 1/15, Day 6
For breakfast, oatmeal seems to be something to help keep me filled till the next meal. So today I made it a little sweeter.
Oatmeal with Berries
Boil 1 1/2 cups water
Add 1/2 cup rolled oats and 1 Tbsp ground flaxseed
Cook on low for about 10 minutes or until desired consistency.
Finally add some frozen unsweetened mixed berries. Enjoy!
Lunch was a total mess. I had reheated some polenta and put some tomato sauce on it. Yuck! For those of you who might like this, great, but it just didn't taste good at all. So I just had an apple instead.
Here is what my mess looked like.
Went to a friends and made them some of the Vegetarian Choup and put that on top of a baked potato again. This meal just hits the spot for me.
I also made some Indian Flat Bread from Susan Gregory's Daniel Fast 2 Cookbook. This gets very sticky and cooks quick. It is a different texture but I had some with a little bit of peanut butter over the top and it tasted fine. This is something for those who miss bread. This isn't bread but a close substitute.
Lastly, my snack for the day was some carrots and celery with some natural peanut butter. Mmmmm.
